Join experienced teachers Holly and David for a rejuvenating one-day retreat at the Bhakti Centre in the peaceful city of Bath, where the timeless paths of Bhakti Yoga and Holistic Yoga meet in harmony.
This immersive day offers a space to reconnect with your heart, nurture your body, and deepen your sense of inner peace through movement, mantra, meditation, and community.
Retreat Schedule
9:30 AM – Arrival & Welcome Tea
Arrive gently and settle into the peaceful rhythm of the day. Enjoy a soothing cup of herbal tea and a warm welcome from our facilitators.
10:00 -11.15 AM – Holistic Yoga Practice
Begin the morning with a grounding yoga session to awaken the body and calm the mind. This class weaves together breath awareness, gentle asana (postures), and relaxation to restore energy and balance. Suitable for all levels.
11:30 AM – Introduction to understanding and deepening the value of breath.
An accessible talk, discussion & practices exploring the essence of breath. We’ll reflect and experience on how on the clarity & understanding of breathe work offers compassion, and joy into modern life, without dogma or ritual.
1:00 PM – Nourishing Vegetarian Lunch.
Share a wholesome, freshly prepared vegetarian meal in good company.
2:00 PM – Guided Meditation & Journalling.
A guided meditation for inner peace and self-awareness, followed by quiet time for personal reflection or journaling.
3:00 PM Bhakti principles.
A deeper conversation around Bhakti principles - selfless service, cultivating love and a sense of surrender to something larger than ourselves, and how this develops self awareness and self knowledge.
4:00 PM – Gentle Restorative Yoga & Deep Relaxation.
Unwind with a nurturing restorative practice and guided relaxation to integrate the day’s experiences.
5:00 PM – Closing Reflection & Farewell Tea.
End the day with a peaceful reflection circle and closing tea before returning home refreshed and centered.
