Some evenings hold more than one thing at once, art, music, stillness, each other. This is one of those evenings.
At its heart is the unveiling of two new works by Bath-based artist Ramesh Dholiwar, both of them images of Radha and Krishna. In the Bhakti tradition to paint Radha and Krishna is itself an act of devotion: the image isn't decoration, it's an offering, made slowly and with love. We'll take time to simply pause and look before the evening opens up.
And then we sing. Yama, Prema, Bo and friends will lead us in kirtan, mantra-based musical meditation, the kind that opens a room rather than fills it. Whether you're new to chanting or have been at it for years, you're welcome exactly as you are.
As always, the evening closes with a plant-based meal shared together.
What to expect:
- The unveiling of Ramesh's two new works, with time to view them
- Soulful, love-inspired kirtan with Yama, Prema, Bo and friends
- A guided meditation
- A short talk on the connection between creativity and Bhakti
- A plant-based meal to share
Reserve your spot and spread the word, we'd love to see you there.
